BJ-The neighbour I can Never Forget

This man is Baljeet Singh Sandhu or better known as BJ Sandhu. Once a upon a time he was the rascal who lived next door. It was a time when neighbours were like family. This guy saw me in my diapers. Our families went on holidays and were there for each other through thick and thin. Some really amazing stuff that you will cherish for a very long time!
This man is responsible for launching my social life as a kid. Thanks for introducing me to the “padang”(field). Its because of the padang that I picked up soccer and became a half decent hockey player ! To be a BMX kid and be able to be decent in sport is a highly regarded aspect among the 10 year olds ! (Respect !)
Caught up with him in Brisbane and it was great to be finally old enough to have a drink with him. Excellent time shooting the breeze and reminiscing about the good old days and the neighbourhood we grew up in.
BJ, thanks for taking the time to show me around Brissie and off course we all thank you for the splendid barbie by the river.

Brisbane

I finally ventured North and made my way to Brisbane in September ! I must say the city took me by surprise. After having been to Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne I some how expected the City of Brisbane to be on flat ground.
Unfortunately, It was a little bit hilly for my liking. Nevertheless it was an awesome time, you just get the impression that Brissie is a holiday town. Kind of like Manly in Sydney.
Also another BIG observation – many friendly girls and yes most of them were blonde. Nothing wrong with that, overall good place with friendly people (It must have something to do with all the sun they get up there). This trip was mainly to catch up with friends and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Queensland is definitely a place that I need to go back to !

My birthday

April this year I celebrated my 28th birthday ! Hmm....there was a stage in mylife that I felt like primary school was eternity. And now, i'm at thetail end of my second decade !

Anyway is was an absolute cracker, booked out a lounge / bar called the straykat which was literally right beside my apartment.

Its was comforting to know that within being in Melbourne for only a year, I managed to make a fair few number of friends.

At the beginning of the night i was thinking to myself "what if no one rocks up?" But i was pleased to find that there about 40 over people. Most of the people at the party were from my hockey team and work . Party ended up back at my place till about 5am. Amazingly I was up by 8am for big Sunday Morning breakfast !

Greetings ! Since its been 2 years ++ living in this great continent called Australia, I figured I might as well document my adventures to try and figure what's still keeping me here and what's preventing me from returning home !

Stay tuned !
